I am the co-owner of an inspection business in Chicago and my go to company for electrical work is Current Electric. I use their service in my own home as well. Electrical work is something you should never skimp on and these folks never do. Jim, Julian and their team give you a straight forward analysis and fair price to do the job correctly which again is the only way to go with electrical work.
Current electrical contractors is a fantastic company. They are incredibly easy to work with, very attentive to detail, extremely flexible, and reasonably priced. I hired them to fix a botched install of an ev charging setup that I had done by another company. Current exceeded all my expectations. I arranged the work while I was deployed overseas and they were able to coordinate with my family in my absence to get all the work done. They arrived on time for both the estimate and the install, and completed the work in a timely manner. Everything was done beautifully and I’m extremely happy with the results. They offered me several options and ended up saving me a good deal of money as well. Great work. They even followed up a few days later to make sure I was happy with the installation and to see if I had any questions. 10/10 recommend: use them for all of your electrical needs! Thanks guys!

I don’t have enough good things to say about this company. Last year, the light on my intricate entryway crystal chandelier started arcing and smoking when I turned it on. This chandelier hangs 17′ up, and even with my limited knowledge on electrical work, this was going to be an absolute pain of a job for anybody to handle. Arik and team came out, built a scaffold in my entryway and took down the light with its dozens of individually strung crystals. The renovation company who had installed the fixture had used halogen bulbs, placing 9 of them in an 18″ diameter x 4″ thick plate at the top of the fixture. The heat of the bulbs had melted the interior of the fixture and cooked the drywall in which it was mounted with toggle bolts. Arik not only fixed the light fixture itself, put in LED bulbs, and got everything back to working/looking like it should, but even did me the favor of remounting it using the ceiling joists. Suffice it to say: if you have a difficult job, Current Electrical can handle it. They’re professional, willing to explain options and different approaches, and just generally nice people. They’re now my go-to group for electrical jobs of any size.

The electrician came promptly at the scheduled time, diagnosed our problem, and installed a new socket quickly, professionally, and efficiently. Every job they have done for us has likewise been professional and efficient. Although this was a relatively simple job, we would trust them (and have in the past) to do more complicated electrical work in our home.
